Post Project Overview

Hang My Art was engaged to install a curated collection of artworks inside an architecturally designed modern home in Brisbane. The property featured striking contemporary architecture with expansive wall surfaces and carefully designed interior spaces, making artwork placement a key part of the overall interior presentation.

The client had a mix of gallery wall groupings and several large standalone artworks intended to act as statement pieces throughout the home. Each area required a slightly different installation approach to ensure the artworks complemented the architectural design of the space.

Gallery wall installations were used to create structured visual displays in several areas of the home. These grouped installations allowed multiple artworks to work together as a cohesive arrangement while maintaining balanced spacing and alignment across the wall.

In addition to the gallery walls, several large artworks were installed individually on feature walls. These pieces were intentionally positioned to become focal points within the room, drawing attention while maintaining the clean and minimal aesthetic of the modern interior.

Modern homes often rely on artwork to soften architectural lines and introduce visual warmth to open spaces. In this project the artwork installations were carefully planned to enhance the scale of the rooms while maintaining a clean and refined presentation.

The combination of gallery wall arrangements and large standalone artworks created visual interest throughout the home without overwhelming the minimalist design. Each piece was installed to feel intentional within the architecture while contributing to the overall aesthetic of the space.

The completed installation transformed the interior walls into curated visual features that complement the modern design of the property.

Post Project Execution

Execution of the installation began with assessing each wall and determining the ideal placement for both gallery wall arrangements and individual feature artworks. Because the home included large open wall spaces, accurate positioning was essential to maintain visual balance within each room.

Gallery wall installations required careful layout planning before mounting began. Measurements were taken to establish consistent spacing between artworks and to ensure the final arrangement would appear balanced across the wall. Reference guides were used to visualise the layout before installation so adjustments could be made where needed.

Once the layout was confirmed, each artwork was installed using secure mounting hardware selected based on the wall type and weight of the frame. Professional levelling tools were used throughout the process to ensure every artwork remained perfectly straight once installed.

Large standalone artworks required a slightly different installation approach. These pieces were carefully centred on feature walls to maximise their visual impact while maintaining alignment with surrounding architectural elements such as furniture, windows, and cabinetry.

Because large artworks naturally draw attention within a room, precise centring and levelling were critical to achieving a polished final result. Each piece was carefully measured and aligned so it appeared balanced within the space.

Throughout the installation process attention was given to maintaining consistent visual flow between different areas of the home. Even though the artworks were installed across multiple rooms, the final presentation needed to feel cohesive and intentional.

Once installation was complete, final alignment checks were carried out across all artworks to ensure everything sat level and securely mounted.

The result was a refined artwork installation that enhances the architecture of the home while allowing each gallery wall and feature artwork to stand out within the modern interior.
